Some great pics from last year's Ms Bienestar pageant are up on
Scott and Ben's excellent blog. Bienestar is a tremendous community service organization, that provides important care and counseling and support to the Latin LGBT community. In addition to all their other good works, they put on an annual pageant, which I always try to attend, even though its done entirely in Spanish and I only hablo un poco :) It doesn't matter because the transgender community here in LA is is a shared one, even when languages are not.
