and Roman.  Some pics from a far flung Monday in October where I stopped in at the Ms Bienestar pageant at Arena in Hollywood  where I saw my good friend, the always amazing Maria Roman.  Then I went to the Palms in West Hollywood to see Viva at her Club Illusions for while before closing out the nite at Goddess at MJs with Leslie Munro, who hurried there after MCing the pageant, and so can be forgiven for resting her eyes for a second :).  I hadn't been there in a while, so it was good to see her and other friends, like Nomi and Rob and  Diane and mi hermanita hermosa Patricia.  They say no matter how far you roam, you are never far from home, but sometimes, you have to roam a little to stay close

R Lounge

sadly, the R now stands for regrets, as Club Myxx at the R Lounge in Studio City is no more.  My friend Laura, who has been running Club Shine at the Oxwood tried to get a new night going at a new club, but it didn't take off.  It was a really gorgeous setting and she is a consummate hostess, but Wednesdays are a tough nite to have a club in LA so it only lasted a couple of months.  I was glad I made it there before it closed and mixed it up with my great friends Dania and Sabrina

Linkin Blogs

This blog got a holler on Hollie Steven's hip and hot personal blog. I am lucky to meet a lot of really cool people, but meeting her was really a highlight for me. She is fun and beautiful and vital and brave. I've been following her on twitter, where she humorously but fearlessly tweets about her battle with breast cancer and in person, she is even more inspiring than she is in 160 character snippets. I don't think you can get a bet down on this kind fight, but if you could, my money would be on her for all the spunk and spirit she shows, no matter what the odds.
