I'm on Scott and Ben's blog again, with some pics from Rhythm Lounge in May. Jamie put on a great party, as usual and Scott and Ben put in the effort to take great pictures of it. All I did was put on a new dress and my ass in the car to get there. :)

Special Kay

a quick pic with and pimp for my friend Dani Kay, who is hosting Transmania at the Palms this Saturday, and appearing at Oil Can Harry's, on Sunday in the show Ressurecting Mary, which brings back some of the really great performers from the old Queen Mary show bar.

The pic is from last Saturday, at the Oxwood, where Dani really rocked the house as Madonna. The other girl in the picture is my friend Natasha, who despite her being younger, prettier, taller and blonder than me, I really like :) She is another great performer and should also be showing off her moves at Transmania. Both girls are really talented but if you have the chance to see Dani do her thing on stage, you will know how special she really is.

Nervous around rocking chairs....

but not on sofas :) A pic I really like by a photographer I really like. Robert Ouana, who has taken pictures of a lot of famous girls in the scene as well as a Playboy playmate or two, was nice enough to take a few pics of me at Queen USA in April. This was the best one, and since that is due to his choice of pose and his artistic skills, I don't need to couch my preference in more modest terms. :)

a pic from Diva's in 2008. It's also been my profile pic since I started this blog. Diva's is the place to be when you are in San Francisco. Its a narrow, 3 story bar in the heart of the tenderloin, and whatever you are looking for can be found on one of its floors. There are quiet lounges, a pool table, poles for dancing, a DJ booth and on the ground floor, a stage for shows.

I wasn't in the show. I got up there at closing for a quick picture because even though I may aspire to be a showgirl, I usually keep a low profile :)

Nite Spots

a new club is starting this Thursday in Hollywood at Joseph's on Ivar. Its called Tranzit and is being promoted by my friends Domino and Veronica. I can't make it there for the premiere, but will be sure to check it out soon. In the meanwhile, be there or be square!

Mad as a wet Katt

as a cliche for me doesn't seem to hold water :) I went to Blue Moon back in March during a really harsh winter rainstorm and had a great time, despite how wet it was. I just didn't give a damp :)
It was great to see my friends Astrid, and Michelle and my niece Hazel, and of course Alize who is always a dream, wet or dry :)

from the good old days of 2005, when the place to be on any Wednesday was Encounter's in Pasadena. It was a quiet, friendly club in an old neighborhood bar with a nice pool table, and a friendly DJ. It was one of my favorite clubs, where I always found friends and always had fun. Sadly, it closed suddenly and nothing has really totally replaced it. The Oxwood is the only place to go and while its an old neighborhood bar and has a nice pool table and a nice DJ, its just not the same, and my encounters there are much less often.

and over 80 followers! When I started this blog a little over 2 years ago and 333 posts ago, I had no idea it would ever get off the ground, let alone take flight like this. I want to thank all of you, friends and followers alike, for all the support and attention that are truly the wind beneath the wings that have kept this aloft for so long.

just a quick pic from the Oxwood Inn, back in March. It was the day after Mardi Gras and if that's Fat Tuesday, this was Thin Wednesday as there was almost no one in the bar. Sso right after this picture was taken, we took off for another less anorexic location in Hollywood.

the only other place besides Blue Moon to find a Morgan, an Austin and a Jaguar, otherwise known as a big Katt :) That's Morgan Bailey, Michelle Austin and me and in the other pic, its Evie, a big (not bug) eyed sprite :) I think with beautiful girls like these three, you have a better chance than the show to end on a bombshell. :)

Katt's meows

a very proud shout out to my friend Karina, for being honored on KCET as a local hero. Karina has been the heart and soul of the local TG community for many years. She seems to be at every meeting and on every board or commission and marching in every protest or parade to advance our issues and avoid discrimination. If that weren't enough, she is the lifeforce that keeps the local pageant scene and Imperial Court system in LA an active and vital one. Every year, sometimes to little fanfare or thanks, she is there promoting and hosting these great community events. She was there when I did my few pageants a few years back and is always still encouraging me to do another one, overlooking how bad I was back then :) And if all that still were not enough, she is also always out in the scene supporting the clubs and her very extended family where nearly every girl is her daughter or sister. All that, and not spandex, or a golden lariat, is whats make her the real Wonderwoman.
