Gold Save the Queen

just some pics from the recent Queen of the Universe Pageant, back in November. Pageants are the social highlights of the scene in LA, when everyone is in their best dress and on their best behavior. This year, sadly, we only had one with the usual Queen USA pageant not being held for some reason. But if we had half as many, the one we did have was twice as good. I had a great time with a lot of friends, including my great friend Danielle Foxx and her best friend Roseann, Marla Bendini, who I really adore and miss since she returned to Singapore, and the always gorgeous Tuesday, who I also have adored since we did a pageant or two together a few years ago. Only one girl got the crown at the end of the nite but I think every one there was royalty.

50 Followers!

What better way to mark the 250th post on this blog. I started it on the spur of the moment with no real expectation it would ever develop any momentum. But it did and its taken it here, with 50 followers, 250 posts and hundreds of views each day and with more and more people I meet in public, like Steve at the Oxwood last nite, telling me they love to check out what the Katt dragged in. So thank you to all my friends, like Scott and Ben and Dave and Michael and Sparky for putting up with my all photo whoring each week and to all my great girlfriends who stand by me in photos and in real life, and to every and anyone who has supported this blog with your views and comments. I don't know who the next 50 followers will be, or where the next 250 posts will lead, but I'll try to stay on the ball to keep this a fun and current and positive place and to have more things to bring to the table to keep earning more of the much appreciated respect and attention shown to me so far.

a pic from 2007 in front of the much loved and much missed Yukon Restaurant, in West Hollywood. For years, it was the social hub for the TG community. Every nite out inevitably ended up there with people hanging out in its worn vinyl booths until dawn. You could always find someone to dish the T, or a friendly waiter to serve you some. The parking lot was a great place to hang out and many drive by friendships were formed there. Sadly, its owner for many years sold the restaurant, and its long term manager Duane stayed on afterward and kept it going, but he passed away from a heart attack, and the restaurant closed within a few weeks. No place has emerged to take its place and while the social wheel has kept spinning, its much more random without the Yukon at its center and Hollywood, after hours, is a much less friendly place.

I'm on the Shemale Planet blog, which was a shock to me since I am so down to earth, and unlike the galaxy of other more gorgeous girls featured there. But its nice to be within such an influential sphere and even nicer to be mentioned in a planetary reference that didn't include Uranus :)

Boo Monday

Leslie and the girls in the cast were the only ones in costume, but weren't the only treats, with my friends Joanna and Liliana acting as eye candy.

here is a pic from 2006, in front of the old Benito's taco stand. It used to be a 24 hour a day hang out in Hollywood, where you could always get a hot taco or a hotter chica. Sadly, it went out of business and is now a take out Indian Restaurant, and only open during the day. You can still find a few girls there after hours, but for business reasons, not social ones. They say change is the only constant, but its sad how the scene in Hollywood is no longer the fiesta it once was.

wow, I had no idea I had that many relatives :)

It took over a year for this blog to get 20,000 views, and it just went to 30,000 in a month and a half. Tthanks to anyone and everyone who follows me here.

Tri(ck) or Treat

I did the Halloween Triathlon this year. Blue Moon on Thursday, Palms on Friday and Hamburger Mary's on Saturday. Does that make me a curling iron woman? :)
